Get your sugar fix with new waffle tacos, just one of the new sugary delights debuting this year. Waffle tacos come in three sweet and savory options—chicken tenders with fried onions and jalapeños, bacon with maple syrup, or berries with whipped cream and caramel. Meat lovers, don’t miss the Italian Grinder, a hoagie roll stuffed full of Italian sausage, cheese and flavorful marinara.
Seafood lovers, surf on over to the Legend Stage and you’ll find an ocean of new things nearby to try. Try a breaded cod sandwich, fried oysters or a breaded shrimp and oyster Po’ Boy on a sourdough roll.
Valleyfair has joined food truck frenzy with its very own Taste of Valleyfair. Located within Soak City Waterpark, the park’s new truck is serving up a fresh and dynamic taco menu created by culinary manager, Chef Luis Carrillo.
Join Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang for some Rita’s Ice and stay “Joe Cool” during the dog days of summer! Rita’s Italian Ice now has two new Valleyfair locations, combining ice and fresh fruit for 65 different flavors of fun! Rita’s didn’t invent Italian Ice, but they certainly made it cool. Ice + Custard + Happiness = Rita’s!
Pub Grub is Canterbury Park’s newest craft food experience, located adjacent to the Chalk Pub. It’s home to food pairings complementing the rotating selection of craft beers available next door. It’s also a sure bet for bargain bites with a variety of unique pub food options under $10! Try one of their specialty paninis, sliders or flatbreads, hop across the pond with Scotch eggs or bangers and mash, and don’t miss their Happy Hour beer brats on Friday nights!
If you’re looking for a more upscale dining experience at the track, head upstairs to Triple Crown Buffet. The completely remodeled buffet at Canterbury has a lot to love including made-to-order crêpes and omelets, delicious crab legs, crisp summer salads, juicy prime rib and decadent desserts.
