The Renaissance Festival has many fall-themed events every day throughout the 2015 season. Embark on a Renaissance adventure with a Pub Crawl hosted by the Pirate King and Queen! Delight in a guided tour to three pubs at the festival, including three beers and a free Renaissance Festival mug! Along the way enjoy trivia, sing-a-longs and games.
Enjoy a private one-hour rendezvous in a beautiful garden setting with your loved one while sipping wine and nibbling on light snacks. The Renaissance Romance package includes two admission tickets into the festival, a private server, a bottle of wine, two wine glasses, a light snack and musical entertainment.
Love beer? Love bacon? Indulge in two of your favorite things at the new Pig N’ Swig beer and bacon event! Sample four beer and bacon pairings while socializing with friends and entertainers. The daily Mead Social is brought to the festival by J. Bird Wines. Mingle and enjoy copious flavors of honey mead in your very own collectible Renaissance glass. The Bawdy Beer Show provides sampling of ales and delicious hors d’oeuvres while being regaled with song and stories.
It’s that time of year when the fog creeps south of the river and Valleyfair becomes ValleySCARE! Name your fear: Clowns? Heights? The Dark? GOOD! From September 19 – November 1 you’ll experience them all during Halloween Haunt at ValleySCARE! As darkness falls, nearly 400 creatures of the night come to life in more than a dozen of the most intense and terrifying mazes and scare zones. Experience tight spaces, extreme situations and unforgettable encounters designed to test the boundaries of your worst fears!

The Fall Arts and Crafts Affair November 12 – 15 is the largest indoor craft show in the upper Midwest with over 500 vendors from more than 30 states. Shop handcrafted wares for artwork, unique home décor and furniture, gifts personalized right at the shows, holiday furnishings, or baby and children’s treasures.
Mystic Lake is rolling out barrels of fun again this year with German-themed festivities throughout October! Oktoberfest returns Thursday, October 1 – Saturday, October 3 with free parties every night. The fun includes live music, a polka dance contest, German village art festival and free caricatures plus games like the pretzel toss, beer stein contest and hammerschlagen.
For those who love good food and good beer, reserve your table now for the Schell’s Oktoberfest Beer Dinner at Mystic Steakhouse on Tuesday, October 6.
