Winter events and Valentine’s weekend make for an action-packed February in the Land of Big Fun!

Take your horse racing handicapping to the next level by enrolling in the free Canterbury College at Canterbury Park. This progressive six-course program will teach you handicapping 101 and beyond. Enrollment includes free course materials, free tuition and free lunch. Registration is required. This series of Sunday classes begins Sunday, February 12.

Treat your little loved ones to a super sweet Valentine’s Day this year! Playworks is hosting a family-friendly party just for kids on Sunday, February 12. Face painting, a candy toss and musical chairs are a few of the activities kids are sure to love. They’ll also have the chance to create special Valentine’s Day cards and decorate hearts.

Sterling Entertainment Group and Canterbury Park bring the best in Laughs & Love to Valentine’s Day, February 14! Headlined by Gabe Noah, Laughs & Love will also feature Las Vegas comedians Trever Malagon, Colleen Justice and Prior Lake’s very own Joe Cocozzello. This 21+ comedy show is located in the Triple Crown Club at Canterbury Park. Doors open for the first show at 5:30 pm, including cocktail service and dinner from 6:00 – 6:45 pm. Reserved tickets are $60 and VIP tickets are $75. Doors open for the late show at 8:45 pm, including dessert buffet at 9:00 pm. Reserved tickets are $35 and VIP Tickets are $50.

Polaris Vikings Winterfest has a new home in the heart of RiverSouth in Prior Lake, February 16 – 18. The jam-packed weekend includes activities for the entire family, with Vikings player appearances, an ice village and ice fishing contest, Polar Plunge, tribute band Hairball at Mystic Lake and much more. Find your future at Mystic Lake during their free Crystal Ball event Saturday, February 18 from 6 – 10 pm. Enjoy a free tarot, palm or psychic reading, be amazed by the talents of a roving magician and rock out to free live music by Nightlights.
