Spring Has Sprung in the Land of Big Fun

It’s been a long winter. Time to get out and celebrate the return of spring!

Golf season is just around the corner, and The Meadows at Mystic Lake can help you get ready for the season. The Pro Shop is hosting a huge blowout sale in March with up to 50 percent off many brands, including clothing and equipment.

Head to Mystic Lake Saturday nights in March for their Pixel Perfect drawings and you could bring home a giant 55” TV! Five winners every hour from 7 to 11 p.m. each night will be drawn to win.

The first weekend of March brings loads of laughs to the Mystic Showroom when comedian Joel McHale takes the stage. Best known for his hit TV shows The Soup and The Great Outdoors, McHale performs his live stand-up Friday, March 3.

The Prior Lake Rotary’s Lakefront Music Fest will be announcing this year’s musical acts for the annual summer outdoor music event at a kickoff party at Mystic Lake’s Grand Ballroom at 7 p.m. March 7. In addition to announcing this year’s musical acts, there will be prize drawings and live entertainment. This free event is open to the public. Save the dates—Lakefront Music Fest will take place July 14 and 15.

The Shakopee Chamber of Commerce invites you to its annual Reds, Whites & Brews event at Canterbury Park March 10. Enjoy an all-access pass to taste some of the best wines, beers and bites. Tantalize your taste buds with samples from local wineries and breweries and bid on unique experience packages during a live auction. Plus, enjoy live entertainment by musical guest G.B. Leighton. General admission tickets are $50 per person in advance and $55 at the door. VIP Tickets are $75 per person in advance with limited availability.

Canterbury Park hosts Poker U on Saturday, March 25. It’s a fun and easy way to learn how to play poker. A $10 enrollment fee includes pizza, Pepsi, Poker U course and entry into a poker tournament with a $400 guaranteed prize pool. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m.

Spring Festival: An Arts and Crafts Affair returns to Canterbury Park, March 31 – April 2.
It’s been voted one of the Top 100 Shows in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine with over 500 artists and crafters from 30 states! Admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and free for children under 10. Show hours are 11 am – 9 pm Friday, March 31, 9 am – 6 pm Saturday, April 1 and 10 am – 5 pm Sunday, April 2.

March 26 will be a legendary evening at Mystic Lake with Experience Hendrix. The show features a diverse group of musicians playing the music of Jimi Hendrix live. Performers include blues legend Buddy Guy, Black Label Society and former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dweezil Zappa, Chris Layton, Noah Hunt, The Slide Brothers, Mato Nanji from Indigenous, Henri Brown and many others.
