Buck Night is back at Canterbury Park Thursday nights beginning June 8. Admission and regular programs are only $1, along with $1, $2 and $3 food and beverage specials. First race starts at 6:30 p.m.
The Belmont Stakes race is June 10, and Canterbury Park is celebrating with a Belmont Stakes Block Party featuring live music by GB Leighton, food trucks and a sport bag giveaway to the first 4,000 adults. Kids can enjoy free face painting, a petting zoo and pony rides. The first live race on the Canterbury Park track starts at 1:45 p.m.
Mystic Lake has a star-studded summer entertainment lineup. The hilariously multi-talented Wayne Brady will take the Mystic Showroom stage June 10. See international pop superstar Lionel Richie under the stars at the outdoor Mystic Amphitheater June 22. Canterbury Park combines the elegance of wine with the excitement of live racing at its Canterbury Uncorked wine tasting on June 16. Wine tasting runs from 6:00 – 9:00 pm with live racing from 6:30 – 10:00 pm. Canterbury Uncorked tickets may be purchased for a separate fee.
Valleyfair is hosting a Food Truck Festival June 17 – 18. Enjoy the best mobile eats and experience the fun and thrills of over 75 rides and attractions. Huzzah! The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is hosting a job fair on Saturday, June 17 from 9:00 am –noon in Bad Manor on the festival grounds. Many positions are available in food and beverage, grounds crew, maintenance, security and more. The Renaissance Festival opens August 19 for its 47th season.
Celebrate Father’s Day at Canterbury Park June 18 with Super Dads and Superheroes. The first 6,000 adults will receive a free travel mug. Plus, there will be superhero activities for kids. Featured races include the Mystic Lake Mile and Lady Canterbury Stakes. First race starts at 12:45 pm.
Show off your golf game this season at The Meadows at Mystic Lake. This pristine 18-hole course, surrounded by 11 acres of wildflowers and prairie plants, opened in late May after renovation. The wait was worth it! The renovated course features upgraded bunkers with white sand and a new look, improving play, drainage, maintenance and appearance. When you hit the course, be sure to download The Meadows at Mystic Lake app. You can book tee times, measure your shots and use GPS to see your location on the course. Unwind after your round at The Meadows Bar and Grille, located adjacent to the pro shop.
