Find the fun every Friday and Saturday from 8 pm to midnight at The Meadows Bar and Grille inside Mystic Lake. Plus, check out live music all month long at Mystic Lake’s Drinx Stage. The gates open to the 47th season of the award-winning Minnesota Renaissance Festival on August 19. See performers by stage, jousting arena or just strolling around the festival grounds. There’s great shopping, too. Food and drink add to the experience, and you must save room for the signature turkey leg. The Renaissance Festival is open weekends through October 1, plus Labor Day and Festival Friday, September 29.
Catch some live racing at Canterbury Park through September 15. Thursday is Buck Night, with $1 admission and $1 regular programs. Plus, $1, $2 and $3 food and beverage specials. Buck Nights run through August 24. On Friday night, kick off your weekend with live music on the Mystic Lake Music Stage and enjoy Minnesota’s biggest happy hour.
During live racing, take advantage of Canterbury Park’s delicious food options, including the Triple Crown Buffet, which features Prime Rib, Seafood and Brunch on select days.
Badger Hill Brewing Company is nestled in RiverSouth less than one mile from Canterbury Park and Valleyfair. Brewing quality craft beer since 2012, Badger Hill offers an on-site taproom, monthly tours, frequent food trucks and pints, flights and growlers to go.
O’Brien’s Public House is a beautifully decorated pub in Shakopee that makes you feel like you’ve taken a trip across the Atlantic to the Old Country. O’Brien’s offers a wide array of craft beer options, top shelf drink options and a scratch kitchen delivering unique specials and Irish staples such as cod and chips and Shephard’s pie. O’Brien’s has a variety of specials, including: Wednesday Date Night, Thursday Tap specials or Saturday Bingo and drink specials.
