The dazzling lights, colors and shapes during the Lantern Light Festival at Canterbury Park continue through October 22. This celebration of Chinese culture features massive lanterns, and inspiring performances for the entire family.
Sever’s 2017 Fall Festival will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October 29 and also during MEA: Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20. You can easily spend an entire day at the festival and pick up pumpkins, gourds, squash, apples and honey on your way out. All locally grown and produced by Sever’s, of course!
Who doesn’t love a good laugh?! Kevin Pollak is bringing the laughs to Mystic Lake on Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7. Named one of the Top 100 Comedians of all time by Comedy Central, he’s also known for his roles in “A Few Good Men,” “The Usual Suspects” and “Casino” to name a few.
Canterbury Park transforms on Saturday, October 7 for the Night Nation Run, a celebration of Electronic Dance with live music, lights and lasers. Gather your family and friends to run, walk, skip or dance your way through an illuminated racecourse with multiple DJs.
Valleyfair is now ValleySCARE! Things that go bump in the night take over the park for the remainder of the season. What you can see will scare you. What you can’t see will haunt you… Saturdays and Sundays through October 28 (plus a bonus day on Thursday, October 19).
The Great Pumpkin Fest continues at Valleyfair Saturdays and Sundays through October 29. During the day, tiny terrors can join Snoopy and the rest of the PEANUTS gang for some not-so-scary Halloween activities for kids at The Great Pumpkin Fest! Enjoy your favorite rides, live entertainment and great fall activities.
On Friday October 13, the Minnesota Renaissance Festival grounds get haunted, giving way to the spine-chilling Trail of Terror! This spooky Halloween event runs weekends for the remainder of the month, Friday through Sunday.
Mystic Lake is your music destination this month. Rock out with some of the hottest names in rock at Rock, Brats & Beer! On Friday, October 13 catch Dee Snider and Dokken. Then on Saturday, October 14, Bret Michaels and Jack Russell’s Great White. Add an ice cold beer and brat to the line up and you’ve got a rocking weekend at Mystic Lake!
Mystic Lake keeps the good times rolling. On Friday, October 20, see the classic rock group Three Dog Night with timeless classics like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come),” “Joy to the World,” “Black and White,” “Shambala” and more. This hit-filled concert will be sure to please every generation.
Then on Saturday, October 28 Dan Aykroyd will be back as Elwood Blues, joined by Jim Belushi as Zee Blues. Together, Elwood and Zee will bring the magic of the legendary Blues Brothers to life in an electrifying live show backed by The Sacred Hearts. It’s an evening of singing and dancing to hits like “Soul Man” and “Sweet Home Chicago” plus classic tunes from a vast catalog of great American roots music.
